5-Axis New Generation Machines
5-axis machining provides unlimited possibilities in terms of the size and shape of parts you can machine efficiently. The term “5-axis” refers to the number of directions in which the cutting tool can move. On a 5-axis machining center, the cutting tool moves on the linear axes X, Y, and Z, and rotates on the A and B axes to approach the workpiece from any direction. In other words, you can machine five sides of a part with a single setup.
